The rock genre is a beloved and enduring style of music that has captivated audiences for decades. In this post, I will outline the research and brainstorming/planning process that my team and I have undertaken to design a comprehensive music marketing project for the rock genre.
The first step in our process was to conduct extensive research on the current state of the rock music market. We examined sales data, streaming statistics, and social media engagement for a wide range of rock artists to gain insight into what is resonating with audiences today. This research provided valuable information that helped us to identify key trends and target audience for our campaign.
Once we had a solid understanding of the market, we moved on to the brainstorming and planning phase of the project. Our team used a variety of tools, including a Google Doc, to generate ideas and organize our thoughts. We discussed different strategies for promoting the music, such as targeted social media campaigns. We also considered the unique challenges that come with marketing rock music, such as the need to appeal to both older and younger audiences.
Our next step is to put all of our research to use to promote our new music video. We plan on targetting the social media platform Instagram for the majority of our videos' marketing.
